I am an average cook who has a 15 year old with food allergies. We have eaten plain foods so long that I am desperate to try new recipes. I work full-time because I want to despite having fibromyalgia so I am frequently tired so I would like to build a recipe file. I want to keep going as long as I am physically able. My daughter has dairy, wheat and corn allergies so any recipe without those items are wonderful.

I have been cooking since 6th grade. I used recipes from my grandmother and had several favorite cookbooks that are now out of print.When I got married, I received several cookbooks, including The Joy of Cooking. I stopped using it for several years and threw it away. One day I realized I really needed it so I got another copy. The internet now influences my cooking because there are so many great recipes out there.
