My entry into making jam came from a Christmas dinner comment. From there I turned to mom who made jam and canned. Her encouragement started when my sister and I were young- she never stopped us from trying to accomplish anything and dad "always loved everything we made, cooked or did".
That dinner 2013, was a catalyst even into making mini boozy cupcakes. I always baked but the pressure to make the "best" white coconut layer cake" and leftover Perseco began the foray into broader fields. ( Still working on that white coconut layer cake for my cousins). I turned to blogs and was not disappointed. They list their failures and successes and seem to give in depth descriptions.
