This is a great icing for a 13x9 inch cake , or a great filling for a 8-9 inch layer cake. double recipe if you want to fill and icing the layer cake.

1/2 cup shortening
8 oz. cream cheese ( room temp)
1 tsp. coconut extract
3 cups powdered sugar
2 TBS milk
pinch salt

Инструкции

With electric mixer beat together shortening and cream cheese, on med. speed until blended and creamy.
next add extract and salt.mix again slightly
add in powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time mixing in well after each one
last add in milk and mix until creamy. add in a bit more milk if filling is too stiff (its a personal preference). You may also fold in some flaked sweetened coconut pieces or some chopped nuts of your choosing. additions are totally optional.
