%20but%20for%20those%20who%20don't%20already%20know,%20she%20is%20also%20my%20cousin.%20Seeing%20as%20today%20is%20Christmas%20Eve,%20and%20to%20me,%20it's%20all%20about%20being%20w/%20family,%20I%20invited%20Tricia%20to%20join%20me%20here,%20so%20in%20a%20way%20we%20can%20still%20be%20together.%20When%20I%20was%20younger,%20every%20December%20we%20spent%202%20weeks%20w/%20family%20in%20Pennsylvania%20over%20the%20Christmas%20holiday.%20Both%20my%20mom%20and%20my%20dad's%20families%20are%20from%20there,%20and%20each%20year%20one%20of%20the%20highlights%20of%20the%20season%20was%20knowing%20we%20would%20be%20going%20%22home%22%20to%20be%20surrounded%20by%20those%20we%20love%20most%20in%20the%20world.%20Christmas%20Eve%20was%20always%20spent%20w/%20my%20dad's%20family--going%20to%20church,%20a%20huge%20meal,%20presents%20for%20all,%20and%20usually%20snow%20falling%20outside.%20(Think%20of%20the%20perfect%20Norman%20Rockwell%20portrait%20and%20you%20have%20an%20idea).%20And%20Tricia%20was%20a%20part%20of%20those%20Christmas%20Eves.%20Now%20we%20are%20all%20grown%20up,%20and%20even%20though%20we%20can't%20be%20together%20in%20person%20today,%20we%20are%20definitely%20celebrating%20together%20in%20spirit!%20Thanks%20for%20being%20here%20Trish....I%20miss%20you...I%20love%20you.%20For%20Tricia,%20myself%20and%20the%20rest%20of%20our%20family....on%20this,%20the%20most%20holy%20night%20of%20the%20year,%20we%20wish%20you%20all%20a%20very%20Merry%20Christmas!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20want%20to%20thank%20my%20cousin,%20Krista%20for%20allowing%20me%20to%20guest%20post%20on%20Christmas%20Eve-%20how%20special!%20Interesting%20enough%20her%20recipe%20for%20Wassail%20is%20%20featured%20over%20at%20my%20blog%20today!%20A%20%20piece%20of%20eggnog%20pound%20cake%20and%20a%20cup%20of%20wassail%20sounds%20like%20a%20great%20Christmas%20Eve%20snack%20to%20me!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKrista%20and%20I%20are%20blessed%20to%20share%20many%20of%20the%20same%20great%20memories%20of%20Christmas%20at%20our%20grandmother's%20house%20when%20we%20were%20younger.%20%20We%20now%20have%20families%20of%20our%20own%20and%20while%20we%20have%20not%20celebrated%20a%20Christmas%20together%20in%20years,%20we%20both%20take%20some%20of%20that%20%20nostalgia%20and%20make%20it%20our%20own%20now%20in%20hopes%20of%20providing%20our%20children%20with%20the%20same%20great%20memories%20we%20have.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EToday%20I'm%20sharing%20with%20you%20a%20recipe%20for%20eggnog%20pound%20cake%20I%20am%20serving%20it%20as%20part%20of%20my%20Christmas%20brunch.I%20hope%20you%20enjoy!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPreheat%20oven%20to%20350.%20Generously%20grease%20and%20flour%20bundt%20pan.(%20I%20used%20my%20pan%20coating%20mix%20found%20here%20and%20it%20worked%20super!)%20Beat%20cake%20mix,%20eggnog,%20eggs,%20butter,%20nutmeg%20and%20vanilla%20in%20large%20bowl.%20Beat%20at%20low%20speed%20until%20well%20mixed%20then%20beat%20on%20medium%20speed%20for%202%20mintues.%20Batter%20will%20be%20thick.%20Pour%20into%20prepared%20%20bundt%20pan.%20Bake%20for%2038-43%20mintues%20or%20until%20toothpick%20inserted%20comes%20out%20clean.%20Remove%20from%20oven%20and%20let%20cool%20in%20pan%20for%2010%20mintues.%20Invert%20on%20to%20wire%20rack%20and%20cool%20completely.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWishing%20you%20a%20Merry%20Christmas%20from%20my%20family%20to%20yours!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPin%20It%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
