- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/4 c. red food color
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/4 c. sifted cake flour
- 1 teaspoon soda
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 T cocoa
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vinegar
Инструкции
- Cream together shortening and sugar. Add in large eggs, beating 1 minute. Add in salt. Mix vanilla in buttermilk. Add in alternately with flour. Add in food coloring and cocoa. Put vinegar and soda into a cup. Mix and add in to cake batter.Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 min in two round cake pans. Cool and remove from pans. Frost with Red Velvet Icing.
