- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 tablespoons chili powder
- 1-2 tablespoons cumin (depending on your taste preference)

,%20HoneyB%20style,%20with%20sweet%20cornbread%20and%20sometimes%20we%20will%20eat%20it%20with%20Frito's%20Scoops%20or%20just%20plain%20%20bread%20and%20butter.%20%20I%20think%20our%20favorite%20way%20together%20is%20with%20the%20Frito's%20Scoops.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20Friday%20our%20office%20was%20closed%20and%20I%20was%20at%20home%20all%20day.%20%20No%20way%20would%20I%20even%20think%20about%20leaving%20the%20house%20that%20day.%20%20It%20was%20cold%20(see%20Sunday%20Morning%20with%20Rudy%20Post!)%20and%20we%20had%20just%20finished%20getting%20snowed%20on%20for%20over%202%20days.%20%20I%20took%20full%20advantage%20of%20being%20home%20and%20baked%20bread,%20made%20this%20chili,%20and%20some%20lemon%20curd.%20%20(bread%20and%20lemon%20curd%20posts%20to%20show%20up%20soon%20here%20also!).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20truly%20believe%20I%20had%20found%20the%20secret%20ingredients%20that%20makes%20chili%20so%20awesome.%20%20It's%20that%20sweet%20heat.%20%20I'm%20sure%20some%20people%20out%20there%20will%20not%20agree%20because%20there%20are%20some%20people%20who%20don't%20want%20sweet%20heat,%20but%20I%20do%20believe%20it%20is%20still%20something%20that%20most%20people%20crave!%20%20Any%20time%20I%20make%20chili%20for%20us%20I%20always%20do%20it%20this%20way.%20%20I%20made%20chili%20for%20those%20who%20helped%20us%20move%20and%20the%20comments%20were%20%22this%20is%20the%20best%20chili%20I%20have%20ever%20had%22.%20%20I%20don't%20think%20they%20were%20just%20being%20nice.%20%20Maybe%20they%20were%20just%20really,%20really%20hungry%20though.%20%20;)%20%20However,%20in%20my%20opinion,%20it%20is%20the%20best%20chili%20I%20have%20ever%20had.%20%20Switch%20up%20your%20proteins%20if%20you%20don't%20like%20or%20don't%20have%20ground%20venison.%20%20This%20will%20work%20with%20any%20meat%20(or%20no%20meat!).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EVenison%20and%20White%20Bean%20Chili%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EServes%206-8%20people%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDirections:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESpray%20large%20skillet%20with%20non-stick%20cooking%20spray.%20%20Over%20medium%20heat%20saut%C3%A9%20venison,%20onion%20and%20garlic%20cloves%20until%20meat%20is%20no%20longer%20pink.%20%20Add%20white%20beans,%20seasoned%20salt,%20chili%20powder,%20and%20cumin.%20%20Cook%20and%20stir%20to%20combine%20about%201%20minute.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAdd%20tomatoes,%20tomato%20sauce,%20and%20tomato%20paste.%20%20Bring%20to%20a%20boil%20then%20turn%20heat%20down%20to%20a%20simmer.%20%20Simmer%201%20hour%20to%20allow%20chili%20to%20thicken%20and%20flavors%20to%20meld.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPrep%20Time:%20%2010%20minutes%20%20Cook%20time:%20%201%20hour%2015%20minutes%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Enotes:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Venison%20-%20please%20feel%20free%20to%20use%20any%20protein%20you%20wish%20or%20use%20a%20combination%20of%20mixed%20vegetables%20such%20as%20mushrooms,%20peppers,%20carrots,%20celery%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*Diced%20Tomatoes,%20tomato%20sauce,%20tomato%20paste%20-%20you%20may%20choose%20to%20use%20a%20thick%20chunky%20spaghetti%20sauce%20instead.%20%20My%20daughter%20in%20law%20is%20the%20one%20who%20gave%20me%20this%20option%20and%20it%20is%20a%20great%20one%20to%20use%20if%20you%20don't%20have%20all%20the%20tomato%20products!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E*SPLENDA%C2%AE%20Brown%20Sugar%20Blend%20-%20you%20may%20wish%20to%20use%20regular%20brown%20sugar.%20%20If%20you%20do,%20adjust%20accordingly%20(usually%201%20tablespoon%20of%20the%20SPLENDA%C2%AE%20Brown%20Sugar%20Blend%20is%20equal%20to%202%20tablespoons%20of%20regular%20brown%20sugar)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETips:%20Feel%20free%20to%20use%20more%20than%20one%20can%20of%20beans%20if%20your%20feeding%20more%20people.%20%20I%20was%20feeding%20just%202%20so%20I%20didn't%20want%20to%20have%20too%20much%20chili%20in%20my%20pot.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
