Scaloppini or Scaloppine is an Italian dish made out of thinly sliced meat usually veal and chicken lightly coated in flour, pan-fried then served with a sauce made either from tomato, white wine or piccata. You might be wondering Italian cuisine has this? yes and it’s not just Pizza and Pasta, this cuisine has a lot to offer like their fritti as well as stews if you’re not familiar with them then you should read my article about the Must Try Food in Italy.

Today we will be making a veal version which basically is a young cow and since its pan fried the best sauce for it will be picatta because the citrusy lemon cuts the greasiness of the dish so well leaving a pleasant taste.
