Trip to the Pioneer Woman’s Ranch
My trip to The Pioneer Woman’s Ranch in Oklahoma!
Last week I went to The Pioneer Woman’s Ranch in Oklahoma for a blogging event with Land O’ Lakes. Ree and I have been friends for over five years and it is always a treat to spend time with her. Plus, I got to see all of my Kitchen Conversations butter blogging buddies!
Ree’s ranch is in the middle of nowhere. Literally. All you can see is open fields for miles and miles. We woke up to a peaceful sunrise. The only sounds we heard were cows mooing:)
We stayed at The Lodge, where Ree films her Food Network cooking show.
It was gorgeous inside and out!

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20stayed%20at%20The%20Lodge,%20where%20Ree%20films%20her%20Food%20Network%20cooking%20show.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20was%20gorgeous%20inside%20and%20out!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThis%20kitchen%20probably%20looks%20familiar:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERee%E2%80%99s%20famous%20KitchenAid%20Stand%20Mixer:)%20Love%20it!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20dream%20pantry!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDuring%20the%20day,%20we%20were%20served%20recipes%20from%20all%20of%20our%20blogs.%20They%20made%20my%20Lemon%20Chia%20Seed%20Pancakes%20with%20Roasted%20Strawberries%20for%20breakfast.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOf%20course,%20all%20of%20the%20recipes%20included%20Land%20O%20Lakes%20butter!%20We%20also%20learned%20about%20the%20history%20of%20Land%20O%E2%80%99%20Lakes%20and%20did%20some%20butter%20taste%20testing.%20Mmmm%20butter!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20also%20had%20a%20friendly%20kitchen%20competition.%20Joanne%20and%20I%20were%20on%20a%20team%20and%20were%20given%20two%20surprise%20ingredients%20to%20cook%20with.%20We%20drew%20cauliflower%20and%20bitters.%20Luckily,%20Joanne%20saved%20the%20day%20by%20making%20killer%20chicken%20thighs%20while%20I%20roasted%20the%20cauliflower%20in%20butter,%20garlic,%20and%20chives.%20The%20recipe%20turned%20out%20better%20than%20we%20thought,%20but%20we%20didn%E2%80%99t%20win%20the%20grand%20prize:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20the%20cooking%20competition,%20Ree%20took%20us%20on%20a%20tour%20of%20the%20ranch.%20She%20is%20a%20true%20cow%20whisperer:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERee%20also%20gave%20us%20a%20tour%20of%20her%20new%20building!%20The%20space%20is%20amazing%20and%20I%20am%20so%20excited%20for%20Ree%20and%20her%20new%20adventure.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20our%20way%20back%20to%20the%20ranch%20we%20found%20some%20wild%20horses!%20I%20had%20to%20snap%20a%20picture%20for%20Caleb.%20He%20loves%20horses!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJenny%20and%20I%20were%20roomies%20at%20the%20ranch%20and%20had%20so%20much%20fun%20together!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EJenny%20and%20I%20were%20also%20Tieks%20Twins!%20We%20wore%20our%20Tieks%20on%20the%20ranch.%20Who%20needs%20cowboy%20boots%20when%20you%20have%20super%20cute%20and%20colorful%20flats?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ERee%20made%20cashew%20crackle%20for%20us%20to%20munch%20on%20during%20happy%20hour.%20It%20is%20soooo%20addicting.%20She%20will%20be%20sharing%20the%20recipe%20this%20year,%20so%20stay%20tuned!%20You%20will%20want%20this%20one!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20butter%20babes!%20Ree,%20Brenda,%20Sommer,%20Jessica,%20Me,%20Jenny,%20Joanne,%20Julie,%20and%20Bridget%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ECharlie%20made%20an%20appearance!%20I%20just%20love%20him!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20we%20were%20leaving%20the%20ranch%20to%20head%20back%20to%20the%20airport%20we%20got%20stopped%20by%20a%20group%20of%20cows.%20They%20didn%E2%80%99t%20want%20us%20to%20leave:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThanks%20to%20Ree%20and%20Land%20O%E2%80%99%20Lakes%20for%20such%20an%20amazing%20trip!%20I%20really%20enjoyed%20my%20time%20on%20the%20ranch!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDisclosure-Land%20O%E2%80%99%20Lakes%20sponsored%20my%20trip%20to%20the%20ranch,%20but%20all%20my%20opinions%20are%20my%20own.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
