  • 4 x Cloves garlic, as much as you like
  • 1 Tbsp. Extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 can (16-ounce) chopped tomatoes
  •     ONE OF THE FOLLOWING
  • 1 sprg fresh striped oregano
  • 1 sprg fresh basil -or possibly-
  • 1/2 lb Browned hamburger (this
  • 1 sprg fresh striped oregano

  1. Which is super simple!!! The traditional Italian sauce is:
  2. Put the pasta water on to boil.
  3. Mince two-three-four garlic cloves - as much as you like.
  4. Add in to 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil - not the best that is the darkest green you can get, but a medium green to yellow color oil - in a smalll sauce pan.
  5. Heat till the garlic is transparent.
  6. Add in one can (16-ounce) Chopped tomatoes
  7. Add in one of the following depending on the sauce you want.
  8. fresh oregano - about 1 sprig striped Or possibly
  9. fresh basil - same as above Or possibly
  10. 1/2 lb browned hamburger (this makes Bolognese) and the oregano.
  11. Cook till the pasta is al dente.
  12. Drain the pasta and put in large flat pasta bowl.
  13. Pour sauce over and sprinkle with freshly grated Parmesean. Parmesean grated more than 20 min loses its flavor.
  14. EAT - Bon appettit!! This is the ONLY traditional sauce I EVER came in contact with during the five years we lived in Rome. Italians are appaled by what Americans do to their food.
