Topsy Turvy Pecan Apple Pie

Ингредиенты

  • 1/2 stk butter, softened
  •     pecan halves
  • 2/3 c. brown sugar
  • 2 x crust pastry

Инструкции

  1. 6 C. apples, sliced, & mixed with 1/2 c. sugar, 2 Tblsp flour, & sprinkled with cinnamon & nutmeg to taste.
  2. Smooth butter around sides & bottom of pie pan. Sprinkle pecans (the more, the merrier!) & brown sugar over butter. (sometimes I add in about 3/4 c. of raisins at this point also)
  3. Put on 1 layer of crust, extending 1" beyond edge of pan.
  4. Top with apples mix & then the 2nd crust.
  5. Prick with a fork.
  6. Bake 10 min at 450 degrees, then an additional 45 min at 350 degrees. Cold for a few min after removing from oven.
  7. Flip upside down to serve.
  8. Slices may be topped with Cold Whip or possibly a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
