I absolutely love those fresh baked coffee cakes that you find at a good bakery and I was on a hunt for a recipe similar to have at home. I wanted big mountains of crumbs not little pieces that fall off as the fork approaches your mouth. Well it took alot of searching but I finally decided to put 2 recipes together to come up with the best ever Coffee Cake. Grab yourself a huge glass of milk and enjoy!!!

- Crumbs:
- Mix all ingredients together to form a ball.
- Set aside.
- Cake:
- Crack egg into a measuring cup.
- Add enough orange juice so that the egg and juice together make 1 cup.
- Mix all cake ingredients together until smooth.
- Pour into a greased 8x8 pan.
- Add topping, spread evenly on top of Coffee Cake Batter.
- Bake at 350 for 25 minutes.
- Let cool.
- Sprinkle confections sugar on top.
- Tips from Denise:
- Since these are 2 different recipes there will be more crumbs don't over do it otherwise it will take alot longer for the cake to cook.
- Because the crumbs are large, set your timer for 25 minutes, but check cake every 5 to 10 minutes after that. Test with toothpick.
- You can use light brown sugar, but do not add extra sugar to compensate for the sweetness, the crumbs carmelize and become hard and and taste like burnt sugar.
