Hello, fellow carb lovers! I am smitten with these rolls, and the cinnamon-honey butter is the perfect finishing touch. I will warn you, that they are addicting. (I speak from experience.)
I am not ashamed to admit that I ate four of these rolls, and the guilt flash lasted about a nano-second. They were well worth the indulgence, they are that good. If you love to bake (and eat) bread, as much as I do, these rolls should be moved up to your "must bake" list. Stat.

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20am%20not%20ashamed%20to%20admit%20that%20I%20ate%20four%20of%20these%20rolls,%20and%20the%20guilt%20flash%20lasted%20about%20a%20nano-second.%20They%20were%20well%20worth%20the%20indulgence,%20they%20are%20that%20good.%20%20If%20you%20love%20to%20bake%20(and%20eat)%20%20bread,%20as%20much%20as%20I%20do,%20these%20rolls%20should%20be%20moved%20up%20to%20your%20%22must%20bake%22%20list.%20Stat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELast%20summer,%20Craig%20and%20I%20flew%20to%20San%20Angelo,%20Texas%20to%20visit%20my%20son%20(who%20has%20since%20moved%20back%20to%20California).%20%20We%20went%20to%20dinner%20at%20a%20%22Texas%20Roadhouse%22.%20%20Texas%20Roadhouse%20is%20a%20large%20chain%20of%20steakhouse%20restaurants%20with%20locations%20all%20over%20the%20country.%20%20My%20steak%20dinner%20was%20good,%20but%20what%20really%20stood%20out%20was%20the%20big%20basket%20of%20hot%20rolls%20served%20with%20cinnamon%20butter.%20%20They%20were%20hot,%20and%20soft,%20and%20a%20little%20bit%20sweet.%20%20We%20could%20have%20as%20many%20as%20we%20wanted,%20but%20I%20had%20to%20restrain%20myself%20so%20that%20I'd%20have%20room%20for%20my%20meal.%20%20I've%20thought%20about%20those%20rolls,%20ever%20since,%20and%20wished%20I'd%20had%20a%20Texas%20Roadhouse%20within%20distance%20(closest%20one%20is%20two%20hours%20away).%20%20Of%20course,%20I%20found%20out%20that%20I'm%20not%20the%20only%20person%20who%20loves%20these%20rolls,%20because%20I%20found%20plenty%20of%20copycat%20recipes%20on%20Pinterest.%20%20Of%20course,%20I%20pinned%20the%20recipes%20for%20the%20right%20time%20when%20I%20could%20make%20them.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20Easter%20Sunday,%20I%20made%20this%20flavorful%20and%20tender%20Atlanta%20Brisket.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20a%20side%20dish,%20I%20made%20a%20big%20casserole%20of%20%22Funeral%20Potatoes%22.%20%20Wow!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20could%20not%20think%20of%20a%20more%20perfect%20opportunity%20to%20bake%20Texas%20Roadhouse%20Rolls.%20My%20son%20was%20joining%20us%20for%20dinner,%20along%20with%20other%20family.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhile%20the%20brisket%20was%20braising,%20I%20put%20the%20dough%20into%20an%20oiled%20bowl,%20covered%20it%20with%20plastic%20wrap%20and%20set%20it%20on%20top%20of%20the%20stove.%20%20The%20warmth%20helped%20the%20dough%20to%20poof%20up%20(as%20in%20more%20than%20doubled%20in%20size)%20in%20less%20than%20an%20hour!%20%20NOTE:%20Had%20my%20only%20oven%20not%20been%20in%20use,%20I%20turn%20on%20the%20oven%20for%201%20minute%20on%20WARM%20and%20then%20shut%20it%20off.%20This%20works%20like%20a%20charm!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOnce%20I%20punched%20the%20dough%20down%20(why%20does%20that%20sound%20so%20violent?)%20,%20I%20used%20a%20rolling%20pin%20to%20shape%20the%20dough%20into%20a%20rectangular%20shape%20to%20about%201/2%22%20thick.%20%20The%20large%20blade%20you%20see,%20on%20the%20right,%20is%20my%20pizza%20blade.%20I%20love%20this%20tool%20not%20only%20to%20cut%20pizza,%20but%20cookie%20bars%20and%20rolls.%20%20I%20use%20it%20more%20than%20I%20thought%20I%20would,%20and%20am%20always%20finding%20new%20ways%20to%20use%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIt%20took%20about%2020%20more%20minutes%20for%20the%20rolls%20to%20do%20a%20second%20rise,%20and%20only%2015%20minutes%20for%20them%20to%20puff%20up%20into%20beautiful%20brown%20rolls.%20%20You%20must%20brush%20on%20some%20melted%20butter%20on%20top.%20Holy%20Cow!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20have%20to%20say,%20that%20these%20sure%20looked%20like%20the%20rolls%20that%20we%20ate%20in%20San%20Angelo,%20Texas.%20%20My%20son%20was%20thrilled%20to%20see%20a%20big%20basket%20of%20these%20hot%20rolls.%20I%20asked%20him%20to%20sample%20one,%20and%20tell%20me%20if%20they%20were%20the%20%22real%20deal%22.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ETASTING%20NOTES:%20My%20son%20and%20I%20agree%20that%20these%20rolls%20taste%20just%20as%20we%20remembered%20them.%20They%20are%20super%20tender,%20a%20just%20a%20tad%20sweet.%20%20The%20cinnamon-honey%20butter%20takes%20these%20hot%20rolls%20to%20a%20whole%20new%20level.%20%20The%20next%20day,%20I%20sliced%20and%20toasted%20these%20rolls%20with%20homemade%20berry%20jam.%20%20Oh%20my!%20Were%20they%20ever%20delicious!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENOTES:%20Rolls%20recipe%20comes%20from%20%22Deliciously%20Yum%22%20and%20the%20Cinnamon%20Honey%20Butter%20recipe%20comes%20from%20%22Copy%20Kat%20Recipes%22.%20%20Thank%20you,%20both,%20for%20sharing%20them%20so%20that%20I%20could%20make%20them%20at%20home--%20and%20share%20them%20with%20others.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
