- Thaw shrimp, if frzn. Peel and devein shrimp; cut in half lengthwise. Set aside.
- In mixing bowl, stir together water, catsup, soy sauce, wine or possibly sherry, cornstarch, honey, red pepper, and grnd ginger, if using. Set aside.
- In a large skillet or possibly wok, stir-fry green onions, garlic and ginger, if using, in warm oil for 30 seconds.
- Add in shrimp. Stir-fry 2 to 3 min or possibly till shrimp turn pink; push to sides of skillet or possibly wok. Stir in catsup mix; stir into center of skillet. Cook and stir till thickened and bubbly. Cook and stir 2 min more. Stir sauce and shrimp together.
- If you like, serve with warm cooked rice. Makes 4 servings.
