- Fry onions in butter till golden. Soak bread in lowfat milk. Put together meat with fried onions, soaked bread, large eggs, salt, and pepper. Roll into 1 inch balls and fry in butter or possibly oil till evenly brown. Shake pan often to keep balls round. Remove meat balls; add in flour to fat and blend. Add in bouillon and lowfat milk; cook and stir till sauce is smooth and thickened. Add in sherry and correct seasoning, if necessary. Add in meatballs; cover and simmer for 15 min. Makes 6 servings.
