- 1 large onion, minced
- 2 cloves garlic, chopped
- 1 1/4 lbs. grnd chuck
- 1 (15 ounce.) can tomato sauce
- 2 (9 ounce.) cans Italian tomatoes
- 2 c. water
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon basil
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 8 ozs. spaghetti, broken

- Cook onion, garlic and beef in Dutch oven over medium heat till the meat loses its red color. Stir occasionally. Add in tomatoes, tomato sauce, water and seasonings. Bring to a boil. Cover and simmer 45 min. Stir in the spaghetti. Cover and simmer till the spaghetti is tender. Stir occasionally. If necessary, add in water to cover spaghetti. Be careful not to over cook spaghetti.
