Ингредиенты

  • 2 c. cornmeal self rising
  • 1 c. boiling water * see note
  • 2 tsp baking pwdr
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp shortening
  • 2 x Large eggs
  • 2 1/2 c. buttermilk

Инструкции

  1. Scald the cornmeal with boiling water. Cold.
  2. Blend Large eggs, buttermilk, shortening and and baking pwdr. when cornmeal is cold add in lowfat milk mix and throughly blend.
  3. Pour in a well greased pan and bake 25 min in moderately warm oven.
  4. NOTES : I NEVER USE THE BOILING WATER, JUST THE BUTTERMILK, JUST KEEP ADDING Till IS IS LIKE YOU WANT.
  5. If using buttermilk only, add in buttermilk to cornmeal before adding other ingredients.
