- Combine all ingredients except vanilla, cook in double boiler over warm not boiling water, stirring constantly. When custard coats a silver spoon, remove from heat, cold at once by placing pan in bowl of ice water, stir in vanilla. Serving suggestion: serve over fruit (sliced peaches, oranges, banana or possibly gelatin). Yield: 8 servings, 1/4 c. per serving, 54 calories, 2 fats.
