%20it%20is%20one%20of%20the%20most%20addicting%20desserts%20ever%20so%20you%20might%20want%20to%20make%20a%20couple%20batches%E2%80%A6one%20for%20yourself%20and%20one%20to%20share%20with%20others!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20first%20introduced%20to%20this%20recipe%20in%20high%20school%20at%20my%20friend%E2%80%99s%20the%20Eichler%E2%80%99s%20house!%20%20Bethany%20Eichler%20is%20one%20of%20my%20oldest%20and%20dearest%20friends%20and%20this%20dessert%20is%20one%20of%20the%20many%20important%20contributions%20she%20has%20made%20to%20my%20life!%20%20This%20is%20really%20an%20easy%20dessert%20but%20is%20impressive%20both%20visually%20and%20deliciously!%20%20I%20hope%20you%20will%20try%20it%20this%20holiday%20season%20and%20that%20it%20will%20make%20a%20beautiful%20addition%20to%20your%20dessert%20table!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFor%20my%20variation%20I%20have%20added%20in%20butterscotch%20chips%20and%20coconut%20but%20both%20of%20these%20are%20optional.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20First%20step%20is%20to%20preheat%20your%20oven%20to%20400%20degrees,%20and%20then%20bring%20the%20butter%20and%20sugar%20to%20a%20rolling%20boil%20on%20your%20stovetop.%20%20Boil%20this%20toffee%20mix%20for%203%20minutes%20stirring%20constantly.%20%20Add%20in%20the%20vanilla%20during%20the%20last%20minute%20of%20boiling!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EArrange%2040%20or%20so%20Saltine%20crackers%20on%20a%20foil%20lined%20baking%20sheet%20and%20make%20sure%20they%20are%20in%20an%20even%20layer.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPour%20the%20toffee%20mix%20over%20the%20crackers%20using%20a%20spatula%20to%20make%20sure%20you%20attain%20an%20even%20layer%20of%20gooey%20goodness!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPlace%20the%20crackers%20and%20toffee%20into%20the%20400%20degree%20oven%20for%206%20minutes%20watching%20closely%20to%20make%20sure%20the%20sugar%20doesn%E2%80%99t%20burn.%20%20After%20you%20take%20it%20out%20of%20the%20oven,%20evenly%20distribute%20all%20of%20your%20chocolate%20and%20butterscotch%20chips%20(if%20you%20are%20using%20those)%20over%20the%20toffee%20and%20once%20again%20spread%20to%20an%20even%20layer%20with%20a%20spatula.%20%20%20For%20this%20batch%20I%20used%20the%20chocolate/butterscotch%20mix%20on%201/4%20of%20the%20pan%20and%20sprinkled%20the%20coconut%20over%201/2%20of%20the%20pan%20to%20see%20which%20mixture%20I%20liked%20the%20best.%20%20My%20next%20batch%20I%20will%20all%20three%20toppings%20on%20the%20whole%20pan%20as%20it%20is%20super%20super%20yummylicious!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Coconut%20reminded%20me%20of%20snow!%20%20Very%20festive!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlmost%20nothing%20better%20than%20melty%20chocolate!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ELet%20the%20decorated%20pan%20cool%20for%205-10%20minutes%20and%20then%20place%20the%20whole%20pan%20in%20the%20fridge%20for%2045%20minutes%20or%20until%20everything%20has%20hardened.%20%20Then%20peel%20off%20the%20foil%20and%20crack%20the%20Delight%20into%20whatever%20size%20pieces%20you%20want%20and%20store%20in%20a%20tightly%20sealed%20container%20in%20the%20fridge%20or%20freezer%20until%20you%20are%20ready%20to%20devour!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHAPPY%20SODA%20CRACKER%20DELIGHTING!!!%20%20YAY!%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
