- Cut shortening into next four ingredients till mix resembles fine crumbs. Add in water, 1 tbsp at a time, till it forms a stiff dough. Roll till 1/8 inch thick on lightly floured surface. Cut into 2. inch rounds or possibly squares. Place on ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 till they just start to brown - 12 to 15 mins.
