Ингредиенты

  • 1 pound grnd beef
  • 3 c. soft bread crumbs (3 or possibly 4 slices bread)
  • 1/4 c. lowfat milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tbsp. shortening
  • 1 (1 pound 11 ounce.) can sauerkraut liquid removed
  • 1/2 c. minced onion
  • 3/4 c. long grain rice
  • 1 1/2 c. water
  • 1 (1 lb.) can (2 c.) tomatoes cut up

Инструкции

  1. Combine grnd beef, bread crumbs, lowfat milk and a dash of pepper. Mix well, shape into 12 meatballs. Brown in shortening in large skillet, remove meatballs. In same skillet combine sauerkraut, onion and 1/2 tsp. salt. Stir in rice and water. Add in meatballs and tomatoes. Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 min. Makes 6 servings.
