Ингредиенты

  • Crisco oil
  • 2 round steaks (about 4 lbs.)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 lg. onions, minced
  • 2 quarts. water
  • 7 bouillon cubes
  • 2 cans mushrooms

Инструкции

  1. Trim fat from steaks. Cut into cubes. Put sufficient oil into kettle to just lightly cover bottom.
  2. Brown meat, add in salt and pepper. Add in onion, cook till glossy.
  3. Pour 2 qts water over meat. Keep water level over meat during cooking. Add in bouillon cubes. Simmer 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Add in mushrooms. Mix 1/2 c. flour and 1 c. cool water for gravy. Add in to meat and simmer 15 to 20 min. Serve over rice or possibly mashed potatoes. (Leftovers freeze well.)
