- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 c. sugar
- 2 T melted shortening
- 2 large eggs, well beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. evaporated lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- Flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. water
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar

- Put together all moist ingredients together. Put together all dry ingredients. Mix well to make soft dough. Roll and cut 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 365 degrees.
- Stir sugar till dissolved and cook till slightly stringy. Set in cold water to stop cooking. Put in warm water. Dip donut and put on wax paper.
