- In a bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Stir in sugar, salt, softened butter, egg, lowfat milk and 1 cup flour. Mix with a spoon till smooth. Add in sufficient remaining flour to handle easily. Turn onto floured board. Knead till smooth, about 5 min.Place in a greased bowl, bring greased side up. Cover with cloth. Let rise in a warm place till double, about 1 1/2 hrs. Punch down; put on board, cover with bowl and let rest 10 min. Shape into 24 rolls. Place on a greased baking sheet. Let rise. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Bake 12-15 min till brown. Brush tops with butter.
