- 2Â 1/2 lb beef chuck roast
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 2 med carrot minced
- 2 x celery stalks slice thin
- 2 x garlic cloves chopped
- 1 Tbsp. quick-cooking tapioca
- 1 can Italian-style tomato paste - (6 ounce)
- 1 can Italian-style stewed tomatoes - (14 ounce)
- 1 Tbsp. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 x bay leaf
- 1 pkt wide egg noodles cooked, warm

- In large skillet, brown roast on all sides in warm oil. Transfer to any size crockpot.
- In a small bowl, combine tomatoes, tomato paste, brown sugar, salt, pepper and bay leaf; pour over meat. Cover and cook on LOW for 10 to 12 hrs or possibly on HIGH for 5 to 6 hrs. Throw away bay leaf. Cut up meat and serve over warm cooked noodles.
