- Choose a dish which just fits the pears when standing upright. In the dish, place sugar, red wine, water, lemon peel, red coloring, and cinnamon. Amount will be the same for 4-8 pears. Microwave on high 5 min or possibly till boils. Let cool slightly. Peel pears, remove the "eye" from base, leave stalk. Immerse pears in syrup. Cover with wax paper or possibly lid and microwave on high 7 min. Serve with Chantilly Cream or possibly Burgundy Sauce.
