- Cauliflower florets – 1 1/2 or 1.5 cups (one and a half cups)
- Green peas – 3/4 cup
- Medium sized potatoes – 3
- French beans – 1/2 cup (optional)
- Large onions – 2 (chopped finely)
- Large tomatoes – 4 (chopped finely)
- 1 medium sized green capsicum (chopped finely)
- Pav bhaji masala – 3 tablespoons
- Red chilli powder – 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 teaspoon
- Butter – 4 tablespoons
- Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
- One lemon
- Salt as required
- FOR WET GRINDING
- Garlic cloves – 6 to 7
- Ginger piece – 1 inch small sized
- Red chillies – 4 (preferably whole dry kashmiri red chillies or deseeded red chillies – it gives a good colour to the bhaji)
- FOR THE PAVS OR INDIAN BREAD
- 16 pavs
- Butter for frying the bread
- FOR SERVING
- Finely chopped onions
- Lemon wedges
