It's almost Halloween!
The candy is bought and ready for trick-or-treaters on Thursday!
Admittedly, we broke into the candy to sample. Can you tell which kind of candy is clearly the favorite in this house?
We haven't been able to find time to carve pumpkins yet...hopefully that will get done before Thursday, but I bought these really cool glow sticks for inside the carved pumpkins this year...
and they were only a $1 each! I'm hoping they work as well as candles...

%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ESnow...in%20October??%20%20No%20thanks!%20%20We%20get%20weird%20snows%20here%20in%20NE%20Ohio.%20%20Lake%20effect.%20%20Sometimes%20an%20area%20just%20to%20the%20east%20of%20us%20(like%2020%20miles)%20can%20get%20dumped%20on,%20while%20we%20get%20little%20if%20any.%20%20Other%20times,%20my%20area%20will%20get%20dumped%20on%20by%20Lake%20Superior.%20%20It%20just%20all%20depends%20on%20what%20direction%20the%20cold%20winds%20are%20coming%20across%20the%20Great%20Lakes%20and%20where%20those%20pesky%20snow%20squalls%20persist.%20%20We%20got%20a%20little%20wet%20snow%20that%20stuck%20to%20the%20ground%20for%20a%20very%20short%20time...but%20just%20east%20of%20me,%20they%20got%205%22%20of%20wet%20snow!%20This%20is%20not%20my%20photo%20and%20it%20is%20of%20an%20area%20to%20the%20east%20of%20me...but%20still....there%20is%20something%20very%20wrong%20about%20snow%20covered%20trees%20that%20still%20have%20leaves!%20%20Anyone%20with%20me%20on%20this%20one?%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIf%20you%20follow%20me%20on%20FB,%20you%20might%20know%20that%20Saturday%20we%20had%20so%20much%20fun%20in%20Cleveland%20in%20Ohio%20City!%20%20We%20enjoyed%20a%20fabulous%20lunch%20at%20Great%20Lakes%20Brewing%20Company%20and%20sipped%20on%20some%20Christmas%20Ale%20(that%20had%20it's%20first%20tap%20of%20the%20season%20on%20Thursday.)%20%20Great%20Lakes%20is%20a%20fantastic%20restaurant%20and%20microbrewery%20and%20Christmas%20Ale%20is%20a%20bit%20of%20a%20tradition%20around%20these%20parts.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAfter%20lunch%20we%20were%20off%20to%20the%20West%20Side%20Market%20for%20some%20shopping.%20%20The%20West%20Side%20Market%20is%20a%20historical%20landmark%20(a%20working%20food%20market%20in%20operation%20since%201840)%20%20here%20in%20Cleveland%20and%20it%20is%20honestly,%20a%20foodie's%20paradise!%20On%20Saturdays,%20there%20is%20a%20live%20band%20that%20plays%20music%20while%20you%20shop!%20%20How%20cool%20is%20that??%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20building%20has%20some%20beautiful%20architectural%20features.%20%20Each%20stand%20is%20operated%20by%20a%20different%20vendor%20and%20most%20sell%20local%20products.%20Since%20Cleveland%20is%20such%20a%20huge%20melting%20pot%20of%20different%20cultures,%20you%20can%20find%20all%20sorts%20of%20interesting%20foods%20here!%20%20Lots%20of%20fresh%20meats,%20dairy,%20and%20bakery%20in%20this%20part%20of%20the%20market...and%20then%20on%20the%20outside...tons%20of%20fresh%20produce!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMy%20son%20spotted%20a%20Dragon%20Fruit%20in%20the%20produce%20area,%20and%20since%20we%20had%20never%20tried%20it,%20we%20decided%20to%20give%20it%20a%20try!%20%20Have%20you%20ever%20eaten%20Dragon%20Fruit??%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWe%20also%20got%20a%20passion%20fruit,%20and%20I%20must%20say,%20of%20the%20two,%20I%20liked%20the%20passion%20fruit%20better.%20%20But%20the%20dragon%20fruit%20was%20not%20bad%20at%20all.%20%20Kind%20of%20like%20a%20kiwi%20in%20texture%20and%20sweet.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20lastly,%20but%20certainly%20not%20least,%20I've%20rediscovered%20an%20old%20friend%20last%20week...%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI'm%20not%20sure%20why%20I've%20gotten%20away%20from%20serving%20up%20frozen%20potatoes%20as%20side%20dishes,%20but%20boy,%20they%20really%20are%20convenient%20on%20busy%20weeknights!%20%20Allrecipes%20and%20Ore-ida%C2%AE%20have%20teamed%20up%20this%20month%20and%20the%20Allstars%20have%20been%20asked%20to%20give%20Ore-Ida%C2%AE%20products%20a%20try.%20%20(Disclaimer:%20%20I%20was%20provided%20with%20product%20for%20free%20for%20this%20review,%20but%20all%20opinions%20are%20mine.)%20%20I%20was%20excited%20to%20find%20that%20Ore-Ida%C2%AE%20has%20a%20new%20product%20line%20out%20called%20Simply.%20%20%20Simply%20are%20all%20natural,%20skin%20on,%20products%20made%20with%20simple%20ingredients%20such%20as%20potatoes,%20olive%20oil,%20and%20sea%20salt%20and%20are%20a%20great%20addition%20to%20any%20meal!%20In%20addition%20to%20the%20Simply%20line%20of%20products,%20Ore-Ida%20carries%20a%20wide%20variety%20of%20great%20tasting%20frozen%20potato%20products.%20%20You%20can%20check%20them%20all%20out%20HERE.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20you%20can%20see,%20my%20family%20has%20enjoyed%20Ore-Ida%C2%AE%20frozen%20potato%20products%20several%20times%20this%20month,%20and%20I%20have%20to%20say,%20it%20has%20really%20helped%20get%20dinner%20on%20the%20table%20fast!%20%20I%20think%20a%20family%20favorite%20here,%20is%20the%20tuna%20melt%20sandwich%20with%20Simply%20fries%20that%20I%20dusted%20with%20Cajun%20seasonings%20as%20they%20came%20out%20of%20the%20oven.%20%20A%20serving%20of%20the%20Simply%20fries%20is%20only%20130%20calories%20with%204.5g%20of%20fat!%20%20We%20also%20really%20enjoyed%20%20Ore-Ida%20Tator%20Tots.%20%20They%20always%20brings%20me%20back%20to%20the%20days%20of%20my%20youth!%20%20:)%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOre-Ida%C2%AE%20frozen%20potatoes%20are%20not%20only%20for%20side%20dishes.%20%20I%20defrosted%20some%20Ore-Ida%C2%AE%20Tator%20Tots%20and%20crushed%20them%20up%20to%20form%20the%20base%20of%20this%20delicious%20breakfast%2
