Name: Oatmeal Cookies (With A Story)
Ingredients: 1 c. sugar; 2 x Large eggs; 3/4 x to 1 c. shortening; 2 c. dry quick oatmeal and; 1/2 c. lowfat sour cream; 1 c. flour; 1 tsp baking soda; 1/2 tsp nutmeg; 1 tsp cinnamon; 1 x scant teaspoon cloves

Ингредиенты

1 c. sugar
2 x Large eggs
3/4 x to 1 c. shortening
2 c. dry quick oatmeal and
1/2 c. lowfat sour cream
1 c. flour
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp cinnamon
1 x scant teaspoon cloves

Инструкции

Mix well and add in about 1 1/4 c. more flour to make a cookie like dough. Add in 1 c. raisins. Drop by spoonfuls on greased cookie sheet. Bake in moderate oven 350 to 370 degrees about 10-15 min, depending on size of cookies.
This cookie recipe used to be made and then sent to the battlefield in France during World War I. (later they were sent to kids away at camp.)
