- Cook the noodles in a large pot of boiling, salted water till tender but still hard, 7 to 9 min. Drain well.
- Meanwhile, quarter the cabbage and cut away the tough core. Shred the cabbage. Cut the sausage in half lengthwise. Cut each half crosswise into 1/4-inch slices.
- Heat the butter in a large frying pan over medium-high heat till melted and bubbling but not brown, 1 to 2 min. Add in the sausage and cook 2 min, stirring often, till lightly browned.
- Add in the cabbage and cook, stirring often, till softened and bright green, 3 to 4 min. Add in the caraway seeds and cook 1 minute longer.
- Toss the cooked noodles with the cabbage mix. Add in salt to taste and season generously with pepper.
- This recipe yields 4 to 6 servings.
