- 2 c. all-purpose flour
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 1/4 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1/4 c. whole wheat or possibly all-purpose flour
Инструкции
- Grease pan with shortening 9 x 5 x 3 inch pan.1. Sift 2 cups of flour in large bowl. Add in yeast and mix with a wooden spoon.
- 2. Put lowfat milk, butter, sugar and salt into 1 qt saucepan. Put pan on burner to medium heat, cook and stir till butter melts and mix is warm, 115 degrees.
- 3. Pour warm mix over flour and yeast. Add in egg; beat at low speed for 30 seconds; beat at high speed for 3 min.
- 4. Sift and gradually add in the additional 1 1/4 cups of flour, beat till smooth.
- 5. Cover dough with greased wax paper and put in warm place to rise 1 hour.
- 6. Push dough down with wooden spoon. Place in greased pan and let rise 30 min. Then 10 min before time is up, preheat oven to 375 degrees. Bake 45 min. Cool before slicing.
