- Combine sugar, Karo, butter, and cream of tartar in saucepan and cook to the hard ball stage. Remove from burner and stir in soda; stir well. Pour over popped corn. With buttered hands, form into popcorn balls.
- Makes 20 to 30 balls.
- Before pouring syrup mix over popcorn, it should be stirred till it has cooled slightly and can be handled easily.
