1 lrg onion, minced or possibly chopped

1/2 x green bell pepper, chopped

3 x to 4 stalks of destringed celery, minced

1 x to 2 carrots, diced

5 x to 6 small potatoes (or possibly more to taste), coarse diced

1 Tbsp. bacon fat (butter or possibly extra virgin olive oil can be used, but bacon fat is more flavorful)

1/2 c. cooking sherry (optional)

1 x 1-lb. can stewed tomatoes with peppers

3 c. of homemade chicken broth (or possibly use 2 one-lb. cans) warm sauce to taste (at least 3 drops, more to taste)

2 sm cans minced or possibly chopped clams

1 can whole baby clams (about a one-lb. size) green onion tops, chopped or possibly finely sliced-off one bunch or possibly two minced parsley (quantity is up to you) fresh lemon juice mixed with lemon pepper marinade, about a Tbsp., or possibly more to taste
