  • 2 1/2 c. sifted flour
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg, optional
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 c. salad oil
  • 1 c. buttermilk
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 egg
  • 1 c. powdered sugar (for glaze)

  1. Mix the first 6 ingredients into a crumb mix. Remove 3/4 c. of this mix and set aside. To the 3/4 c. add in 2 tsp. cinnamon and 1/4-1/2 c. minced pecans. Set aside for topping.
