Рецепт Methi Chole
Ingredients
- 1 Cup Chickpeas | Channa, Soaked overnight
- 1 Medium sized Onion, finely chopped
- 2-3 Medium sized Tomatoes, finely chopped
- 2 Cups Loosely packed Methi Leaves
- 1 Black Cardamom
- 1/2" Cinnamon stick
- 2 Bay leaves
- 2-3 Cloves
- 1/2 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 Tbsp Ginger Garlic paste
- 2 Green chillies, slit lengthwise
- Salt to taste
- 2 Tbsp Chole Masala
Instructions
Pressure cook the chickpeas with saltand keep aside. It should be soft and tender.
Heat oil in a Kadai | Pan over medium high heat.
Once the oil shimmers, add the cumin seeds and let it splutter. Then add the rest of the whole garam masala.
Then add the chopped onions, ginger garlic paste and chillies and sauté until onions turn translucent. Add the methi leaves and sauté until it wilts and reduces.
Then add the tomatoes, little salt and water. Cover and cook until tomatoes are soft and mushy.
Then add the chole masala and fry for about a couple of minutes until its raw taste goes off.
Add some water if needed. It can either be a semi gravy or gravy.
Finally garnish with coriander leaves and lemon wedges.
