- 2 1/4 c. cake flour, sifted
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 3 teaspoon vanilla
- 3/4 c. water
- 4 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 c. mayonnaise
- 6 egg yolks
- 8 egg whites
- 1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar

- Sift together flour, sugar, and salt. Put in a large bowl. Make a well in the middle and put vanilla. Add in water, vanilla, mayonnaise and egg yolks. In another bowl add in egg whites and cream of tartar. Beat till stiff peaks. Fold egg white mix into flour mix. Put in a 10"x4" angel food pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 65 to 75 min. Top will be cracked and spring back when touched.
