- Put pie filling in the blender and pulse till it minced up, but NOT pureed. Place it in a small sauce pan together with the butter and brown sugar. Bring to a boil; lower heat and simmer for about 10 min. Add in rum, if you like, and remove from the heat. Serve with pancakes or possibly waffles.
