- In top of double boiler put Eagle Brand sweetened condensed lowfat milk, chocolate and salt. Heat over rapidly boiling water, stirring constantly, till mix is very thick.
- Gradually stir in water, keeping mix smooth. Continue cooking, stirring often, till mix thickens. Remove from heat.
- Stir in vanilla extract.
- Pour into pie shell. Cold at room temperature about 1/2 hour. Chill at least 3 hrs.
- Just before serving garnish with whipped cream.
- If glassware double boiler is used, cover and continue to cook mix, without stirring, till thickened.
