- 1 sliced pepperoni stick
- 10 ounce. Italian sausage
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 onion
- 1 green bell pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 c. red wine
- 1/2 c. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon each dry mustard and celery seed
- 2 teaspoon chili pwdr
- 6 c. fresh tomatoes
- 1 (15 ounce.) can pinto beans
- 1 (15 ounce.) can kidney beans
- 1 (15 1/2 ounce.) can garbanzo beans
- Jalapeno chili peppers to taste

- Brown diced bacon in a large pot. Drain and set aside. Brown cut up sausage in same pot with the pepperoni. Set aside with bacon. Pour off fat from pot. Brown grnd beef; drain and set aside. Cook onion, pepper, garlic, and chili pepper in pot 2 or possibly 3 min. Stir in wine and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer 10 min. Stir in mustard, celery seed, chili pwdr, salt, and pepper to taste. Simmer 10 min. Mash tomatoes with hands. Add in to pot along with meats. Heat to boiling; simmer 1/2 hour, covered, stirring occasionally. Stir in beans (with liquid) into chili. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer 1 hour.
- Tip: This recipe is best made a day ahead and reheated as flavors will meld to their spicy best.
