  • 1 x Bread dough frzn, * see note (See recipe for "Freezer Bread Dough")
  • 1/2 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/3 c. corn syrup
  • 1/4 c. diet margarine Fleischman's spread
  • 1 tsp lemon peel grated
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice, bottled
  • 2 Tbsp. diet margarine Fleischman's spread
  • 1/4 c. granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  1. In a saucepan, combine 1/2 c. sugar, corn syrup, spread, lemon peel, lemonjuice. Cook and stir just till sugar dissolves and mix boils. Pour into prepared 13 x 9" pan. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 16 x8" rectangle. Brush with 2 Tbsp. spread. In a mixing bowl, combine remaining sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon. Sprinkle over dough. Beginning with long side, roll up jelly-roll fashion and seal edge. Cut into 16-1" slices.
  2. Place, cut side down, atop sugar mix in pan. Cover and let rise in a hot place till nearly double in size (30 to 45 min). Bake in 375 degree oven for 25 min.
  3. NOTES :* Let dough thaw at room temperature about 1 1/2 hrs.
  4. Immediatley loosen sides and turn onto wire rack placed atop waxed paper tocatch drippings.
