- 5 c. flour
- 2 sticks butter
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 4 large eggs
- 1/2 c. scalded lowfat milk
- 1 sm. can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/4 c. hot water
- 1 pound grnd walnuts
- 1 c. sugar

- Mix flour, butter, sugar and salt as for pie crust. Add in scalded lowfat milk and evaporated lowfat milk together and beaten large eggs. Make a well and pour in the yeast which has been mixed with the warm water and 1 tsp sugar and allowed to rise first. Mix and let the dough rise twice. Divide the dough into six pcs; roll each piece into an oblong shape and sprinkle with grnd nuts and sugar. Roll up and place on cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining pcs of dough. Let rise till double. Brush tops with 1 egg yolk and 2 tbsp lowfat milk. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min. (Make sure walnuts are grnd very fine, but don't put in blender.)
