%20from%20March%2013th,%202010%20to%20April%2013th,%202010%20in%20Facebook.%20I've%20made%20the%20regular%20epok-epok%20before%20but%20this%20is%20my%20first%20attempt%20to%20make%20Karipap%20Pusing.%20Curry%20puff%20is%20a%20popular%20snack%20in%20Singapore%20and%20Malaysia.%20There%20are%20variety%20of%20fillings%20but%20usually%20the%20main%20filling%20is%20potato.%20Karipap%20Pusing%20is%20like%20epok-epok%20but%20karipap%20pusing%20is%20more%20crisp%20after%20frying%20because%20of%20the%20patten%20on%20the%20skin.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20in%20the%20mid%20of%20writing%20this%20post%20this%20evening,%20but%20hubs%20wanted%20to%20watch%20the%20movie%20Julie%20and%20Julia%20that%20we%20got%20in%20the%20mail%20today.%20So%20I%20had%20to%20save%20the%20blog%20and%20watch%20the%20movie%20with%20him.%20I%20expected%20the%20movie%20to%20be%20good,%20but%20it%20was%20even%20better%20than%20expected.%20Its%20a%20lovely%20movie.%20I%20really%20love%20the%20movie.%20After%20the%20movie%20was%20over,%20here%20I%20am%20back%20writing%20my%20blog..%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIngredients:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EFilling:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E1%20onion,%20chopped%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3Ea%20few%20curry%20leaves%20-%20for%20fragrance%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EIn%20a%20large%20mixing%20bowl%20,%20add%20salt%20to%20flour.%20Make%20a%20well%20in%20the%20center%20and%20add%20the%20oil%20and%20mix%20well%20with%20your%20fingertips.%20Add%20the%20water%20bit%20by%20bit%20until%20the%20dough%20does%20not%20stick%20to%20you%20hand.%20Set%20aside.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EDough%20B:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E150g%20all%20purpose%20flour%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E100g%20butter/marjerin%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EMix%20all%20ingredients%20in%20B%20till%20a%20soft%20dough%20is%20formed.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThese%20puffs%20are%20meant%20to%20be%20fried.%20My%20attempt%20to%20fry%20these%20puffs%20were%20impossible..%20They%20%20crack,%20%20break,%20burst%20or%20whatever%20you%20call%20it,%20when%20fried...%20I%20was%20filled%20with%20despair%20when%20looking%20at%20the%20puffs%20in%20the%20hot%20oil..%20Could%20it%20be,%20the%20heat%20temperature%20was%20a%20little%20too%20high%20or%20my%20measurements%20could%20be%20inaccurate...%20I%20do%20not%20know..%20I%20had%20to%20throw%20them%20away%20because%20they%20can't%20be%20saved..%20(there%20were%206%20pieces)%20:(%20So%20I%20had%20another%20option....%20That%20is%20when%20I%20tried%20baking.%20I%20took%20a%20few%20pieces%20and%20placed%20in%20the%20baking%20tray%20and%20brushed%20egg%20yolk%20on%20the%20top.%20Baked%20in%20a%20preheated%20oven%20at%20350F%20for%20about%2040mins%20or%20until%20it%20turned%20golden%20brown.%20Once%20they%20were%20baked,%20they%20turned%20out%20great..%20These%20puffs%20reminds%20me%20of%20the%20curry%20puffs%20that%20I%20usually%20get%20at%20Polar%20Singapore.%20*yum-yum*%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENotes:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20found%20that%20after%20baking,%20my%20puffs%20did%20not%20really%20show%20the%20patten%20on%20the%20skin%20as%20much%20as%20when%20you%20fried%20them.%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
