:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20vodka%20certainly%20packed%20a%20punch!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20pistachio%20crumbed%20goats%20cheese%20was%20%20revelation%20-%20I%20loved%20it.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20came%20baked%20saganaki%20prawns%20in%20spiced%20tomatoes,%20spanish%20onion%20&%20red%20capsicum:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20was%20not%20such%20a%20fan%20of%20cheesy%20prawns,%20but%20it%20was%20OK.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EHowever,%20I%20was%20a%20fan%20of%20the%20warm%20moroccan%20salad%20of%20cauliflower,%20red%20&%20white%20quinoa,%20pinenuts,%20chickpeas%20&%20feta:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20cannot%20begin%20to%20explain%20how%20devine%20this%20was,%20and%20it%20was%20a%20hit%20with%20everyone%20at%20my%20end%20of%20the%20table.%20%20I%20laughed%20when%20my%20friend%20Sandra%20happily%20dug%20into%20this%20salad,%20but%20fished%20out%20the%20cheese%20(as%20she%20doesn't%20like%20dairy).%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20came%20the%20main%20course%20-%20first%20up%20was%20chicken%20breast%20stuffed%20with%20dates%20&%20pistachios%20on%20roast%20vegetable%20couscous%20:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20just%20had%20to%20read%20those%20ingredients%20to%20fall%20in%20love.%20%20I%20like%20meat%20and%20fruit%20together,%20and%20to%20have%20dates,%20one%20of%20my%20favourite%20things%20ever,%20feature%20in%20the%20dish%20was%20a%20treat.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3ENext%20up%20came%20honey%20&%20fennel%20pork%20belly%20with%20fennel,%20orange%20&%20black%20olive%20salad:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EI%20thought%20this%20was%20OK,%20but%20I%20liked%20the%20chicken%20better.%20%20People%20were%20incredulous%20that%20I%20did%20not%20want%20the%20crackling%20-%20but%20just%20the%20thought%20of%20crispy%20fat%20makes%20me%20shudder.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EOn%20the%20side,%20we%20had%20patatas%20bravas%20with%20roast%20baby%20onions%20&%20aioli:%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAs%20you%20can%20imagine,%20these%20potatoes%20were%20addictive%20-%20so%20addictive%20that%20we%20had%20to%20ask%20the%20staff%20to%20take%20them%20away%20so%20that%20our%20heaving%20bellies%20could%20fit%20in%20some%20dessert.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAnd%20the%20dessert%20was%20worth%20the%20wait%20-%20a%20platter%20of%20turkish%20delight,%20baklava,%20turkish%20fairy%20floss,%20halva%20icecream%20and%20turkish%20delight%20icecream.%20%20I%20adore%20Turkish%20delight,%20and%20there%20was%20no%20competition%20for%20either%20the%20cube%20of%20rose%20flavoured%20%20or%20vanilla%20flavoured%20Turkish%20delight%20-%20so%20it%20was%20all%20for%20me!%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EThe%20Turkish%20delight%20icecream%20was%20a%20favourite%20of%20everyone%20at%20our%20end%20of%20the%20table,%20but%20the%20little%20baclavas%20were%20a%20tad%20dry.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EEveryone%20unanimously%20voted%20the%20food%20spectacular,%20and%20that%20it%20was%20a%20fabulous%20way%20to%20celebrate%20Christmas%20in%20July.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EWhen%20you%20are%20finished%20eating,%20if%20walking%20does%20not%20seem%20too%20impossible%20after%20all%20of%20that%20food,%20there%20are%20lovely%20little%20shops%20near%20Kamel.%20%20In%20a%20pet%20accessories%20store,%20Sandra%20and%20I%20met%20a%20gorgeous%20miniature%20schnauzer%20named%20Mimi%20who%20happily%20took%20all%20the%20attention%20we%20could%20give%20her.%20%20There%20is%20also%20a%20fine%20bookshop%20and%20some%20lovely%20homewares%20stores,%20not%20to%20mention%20an%20organic%20grocer.%20%20Accordingly,%20a%20visit%20to%20Kamel%20is%20a%20great%20opportunity%20for%20an%20all%20round%20outing.%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EKamel%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3E19%20Victoria%20Avenue%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EAlbert%20Park,%20VIC%3C/p%3E%3Cp%3EPh:%20+61%203%209696%201386%3C/p%3E){kind=link}
