- 3/4 c. Granulated sugar
- 3/4 c. Packed brown sugar
- 1 c. Margarine or possibly butter softened
- 1 x Egg
- 2 1/4 c. All-purpose flour*
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1 c. Coarsely minced nuts
- 1 pkt Semisweet (12 ozs) Chocolate chips if using self-rising flour omit Baking soda and salt.

- Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix sugars, margarine and egg. Stir in flour, baking soda and salt (dough will be stiff). Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Drop dough by 1/4 cupfuls about 3 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 15 min or possibly till edges are set. Cold completely; remove from cookie sheet. ABOUT 1-1/2 DOZEN COOKIES; 360
