  • 1 1/2 lb Round Steak, cut in pcs Flour Salt Pepper Shortening
  • 2 lrg Onions, peeled and sliced
  • 1 1/2 c. Canned Tomatoes
  • 2 x Green Peppers, sliced
  • 1 c. Water
  • 8 ounce Mozzarella, shredded

  1. Dredge round steak in flour, salt, and pepper mix and brown in shortening in a heavy fry pan or possibly Dutch oven. Add in onions, tomatoes, and peppers. Cover and cook over low heat for 1 1/2 to 2 hrs or possibly till meat is tender. Add in 1 c. warm water. Just before serving, cover each piece of meat with mozzarella cheese. Cover pan again for a few min to heat the cheese, and serve immediately. Don't allow cheese to heat too much.
