- Wash the sago drain and allow to stand for 15 min.
- In the meantime mix the lowfat milk and sugar and bring to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer for 5 min.
- Take off the heat and add in the cardamom pwdr cashew nuts and evapourated lowfat milk.
- Cover and reserve.
- Add in 300ml water to the sago and bring to the boil.
- Reduce the heat and simmer till the sago is cooked.
- Take off the heat cold slightly and pour in the lowfat milk mix.
- Serve cool adjusting the consistency with some water if necessary.
- This simple dessert is turned into something special by the addition of spices and nuts. It also makes an unusual breakfast food.
