- Pop them into an airtight tin as soon as they are cool then re crisp them in the oven later if you feel they need it.
- Preheat the oven to gas mark 4 350F 180C. Youll also need two large baking sheets (greased).
- First of all cream the butter and sugar together until you have a pale fluffy dropping consistency then break in the whole egg and add in the syrup.
- Stir these in using a wooden spoon till the mix is quite smooth.
- Now sift in the flour and cinnamon and gradually fold this in finally adding the walnuts and raisins.
- Then drop roundedteaspoonfuls of the mix on to the baking sheets about 10 on each one (this wont use up all the mix but see below).
- Bake this first batch of biscuits for about 20 min during that time they will have spread out quite a bit.
- Take them out of the oven then after a couple of min remove them from the baking sheets to a cooling tray.
- Then finish off the rest of the mix as above.
- Makes 3 to 4 dozen
