- 1 c. Cornmeal, yellow
- 2 tsp Baking pwdr
- 3/4 tsp Salt
- 3/4 c. Corn, creamed
- 1/2 c. Onion, minced
- 1 x Egg, beaten
- 2 tsp Bacon dripping Oil, for frying

- Combine dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. Add in corn, onion, egg, and bacon dripping; stir well. Carefully drop batter by level table- spoons into deep warm oil (370 F); cook only a few at a time, turning once. Fry till the hush puppies are golden (3 to 5 min). Drain well on paper towels.
