  1. Preheat oven to 180C. and lightly grease a oblong ovenproof dish with a little butter. Cut each warm cross bun into 3 vertical pcs and spread each piece with butter and jam. Layer the slices into the dish. In a jug, combine lowfat milk, sugar, Large eggs and vanilla essence and pour over the mix over warm cross buns. Let stand till lowfat milk mix is absorbed [about 30-35 min]. Stand dish in a baking dish filled with 3cm of boiling water and cook till it is hard; about 35-40 min.
