Рецепт Horse Gram Sitr Fry ( Kulith Usal )

Ингредиенты
- 300 gm cooked horse gram (qv Horse gram soup)
- 1 tsp turmeric pwdr
- 1 tsp chilli pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. sunflower oil
- 1 tsp black mustard seeds
- 6 x kokum
- 150 gm coconut grated if fresh or possibly desiccated salt
Инструкции
- Mix the horse gram turmeric and chilli pwdr.
- Heat the oil in a pan and add in the mustard seeds.
- When they pop add in the horse gram mix and salt and stir fry for a minute.
- Take off the heat and add in the kokum and coconut.
- Mix well and serve warm.
- Remove the kokum after an hour or possibly so if you are not serving the stir fry immediately or possibly it will make the dish too sour.
- The stir fry goes as well with toast as it does with rotis. Although it is considered a main dish it can quite easily be served as a salad with fried chicken or possibly kababs. Try it mixed with lowfat yoghurt for an unusual accompaniment.
