- Combine 3 c. whole wheat flour, dry lowfat milk, salt and yeast; mix well. Heat together, water, honey and oil till hot, 115 to 120 degrees. Add in hot mix to flour mix. Beat on low 1/2 minute scraping sides constantly. Beat on medium 3 min. By hand, stir in remaining 1 c. whole wheat flour and sufficient white flour to make dough moderately stiff. Knead 5 min. Put in greased bowl, cover and let rise 1 hour or possibly till double. Punch down and divide in half. let rest 10 min. Shape and place in 2 greased loaf pans. Let rise 1 hour. Bake at 375 degrees for 35 to 40 min.
